Large volume - Cargo Line
With the Melform Cargo Line, you choose a proven and efficient solution for transporting products at controlled temperatures.
The Cargo Line containers are designed for use within the cold chain and allow products to be kept at the correct temperature passively for several hours.
The passive temperature maintenance system means that no energy source is required to regulate the temperature.
The design of the Melform Cargo Line, manufactured in polypropylene using the rotomoulding technique, guarantees efficient thermal insulation.
What can Cargo Line isothermal boxes offer for your transport?
The containers enable the distribution of perishable goods without interrupting the cold chain. This applies to hot, chilled and frozen products. Each container is hermetically sealed to ensure optimal protection of the cold chain.
In which sectors can Cargo Line containers be used?
Cargo Line containers are suitable for virtually any sector dealing with a cold chain. They are mainly used in supermarket distribution and internal logistics networks, as they are ideal for bulk goods. For smaller distribution chains, we recommend the Melform Thermax Line.
Can the temperature be controlled?
No, the temperature of the Melform Cargo Line cannot be actively controlled. If temperature control is required, we recommend the Melform Koala Line, which offers both analogue and digital temperature control options. However, eutectic plates can be added to any Cargo Line container to provide additional temperature stability. Both Koala Line and eutectic plates are also available from Plastibac.
Why do you recommend chilled transport?
Perishable products must be transported at the correct temperature to ensure product quality and safety. Maintaining the correct temperature also prevents the growth of unwanted bacteria.
How can a Cargo Line container be moved?
Melform Cargo Line models are available in various configurations, including versions with wheels or with a pallet base. Depending on your working environment, you can choose the most suitable option. The operation of the Cargo Line refrigerated containers remains unchanged.
What is the main advantage of isothermal bulk containers?
Isothermal bulk containers offer numerous advantages. From a transport perspective, they allow combined shipments. The containers can be transported together with goods that do not require cooling, significantly reducing the costs associated with refrigerated transport (for example, using a refrigerated truck).
Are Melform isothermal containers environmentally friendly?
Yes. The isothermal containers are durable and designed for repeated use. At the end of their life cycle, they are 100% recyclable. They are made from food-grade polyethylene and insulated with polyurethane foam free from CFCs and HCFCs.
What does the rotomoulding technique mean?
Rotomoulding means that the containers are manufactured as a single piece. Both the container and the door are monobloc, without welded or assembled parts.
Are there certifications available for Melform isothermal containers?
Yes, the containers are certified according to ATP, NF, and HACCP standards.
